Rediscover the Lost Temple, visiting Beng Mealea feels like stepping back in time, much like the French explorer Henri Mouhot, who rediscovered Angkor Wat in 1860 AD after it had been hidden in the jungle for centuries. Preah Khan Kampong Svay, often referred to as "The Forgotten City," this is the largest temple complex in Cambodia, covering an area four times the size of Angkor Wat (5 square kilometers). Built between the 9th and 12th centuries, Preah Khan Kampong Svay features four enclosure walls, a central sanctuary, a large Baray (reservoir), and various other structures. Despite undergoing minor restoration, this hidden gem remains in a natural, jungle-covered state, making it a truly off-the-beaten-path experience. The remote location means few tourists visit, allowing for a peaceful and immersive exploration. Lunch Break  before continitue for exploration at Sambor Prei Kuk – UNESCO World Heritage Site, a pre-Angkorian city that dates back to the 6th and 7th centuries of the Chenla Kingdom and it consists of more than 100 ancient temples, scattered across the dense jungle. The site is divided into three major temple groups, Prasat Sambor Group, the central religious sanctuary dedicated to Hinduism. Independence Monument, a symbol of Cambodia’s independence from French colonial rule (1953), located in the heart of Phnom Penh.
