ITINERARY
After breakfast at your hotel, your English-speaking tour guide and driver will greet you in the hotel lobby and begin the journey to Phnom Kulen National Park, located north of the Angkor Archaeological Park. This sacred mountain is historically significant as the quarry site for the sandstone used in constructing the temples of Angkor. It is also considered the birthplace of the Khmer Empire, where King Jayavarman II declared independence and established the royal lineage in the 9th century. The scenic drive takes you up to the top of the mountain, where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding lush national park landscape and explore Highlights at Phnom Kulen at Poeng Ta Kho (Amazing Cliff) a breathtaking viewpoint offering stunning views across the countryside.
