After breakfast at the hotel, depart for the Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site spanning 401 km² with over 250 temples and begin at the South Gate of Angkor Thom, the last capital of the Khmer Empire (built in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII) and next to explore the highlights inside Angkor Thom at Bayon Temple, a famous for its 216 giant smiling stone faces, symbolizing compassion and wisdom.
